You can play as long as you want, giving you the chance to practise multiplication for Year 5 at your own pace.

How does it work?

Practise Maths was created by a primary school teacher from the Netherlands with the goal of making maths practise engaging, fun, and accessible. It focuses on improving students' maths fluency, so by practicing, you’ll become faster and better at the times tables.

Practise Maths is offered completely free of charge, and this will remain the case in the future. You don’t need a subscription. Additionally, the content is regularly updated, ensuring you always have a variety of exercises to master Year 5 multiplication.

Curriculum

In Year 5, maths should already feel natural for students. There are several areas that students need to meet this year:

  • You will learn about prime numbers, squares, and higher powers (like cube numbers).
  • You will also learn to multiply four-digit numbers by two-digit numbers, such as 1,000 x 20.
  • You should already have a firm grasp of the times tables up to 12.

Practise the times tables you need to learn for this year at Practise Maths. For Year 5 multiplication, you need to be comfortable with all the tables up to 12. Keep practicing with the maths exercises and games on Practise Maths to get faster at solving multiplication problems. This way, we’ll make sure you’re well-prepared for the SAT!
