Practise adding and subtraction for year 1
What does Practise Maths have in store for you? Well, here you'll practise adding and subtracting for Year 1 at your own pace. You can easily adjust the difficulty level yourself. You can choose to practise just addition, just subtraction, or a combination of both. Plus, you can opt to practise sums up to 6. As you progress, you can challenge yourself with sums up to 10. Each exercise consists of 15 problems. At the end of the exercise, you'll see your score. If you've answered more than 13 questions correctly, you'll also see a time score. When both scores, the number of correct answers + the time, are displayed in a green box, it means the exercise has been successfully completed. This is how you practise your mathematical fluency for adding and subtraction year 1. And if you want to start the exercises again, you can easily and quickly do so.
In addition to practicing, you can also play math games to enhance your mathematical fluency. Take a look at the interactive math game Bouncer, for example. Here too, you can set which sums your child will practise and at which math level. At the end of the game, they'll receive a high score they can aim to beat next time!
